Naydorian Chess

Introduction

Naydorian Chess or Katlim-Baytort (Two Armies Battle Game) is played widely throughout Stonemark. As well as a popular pastime, it is also played professionally with the Masters of the game enjoying high-status within the OverWard.

The board consists of 127 hexagons formed into a rectangular pattern. Each player starts the game with 23 pieces. The opening disposition is shown in the rmage below.
