About Shadowgard
Shadowgard is a Tor or mountain stronghold. A fortified town in the Blackflint range, Shadowgard defends one of the 3 passes, the Shadow Pass, that allow access from the White Plains to the OverWard of Stonemark.
As both a town and a major stronghold, Shadowgard is governed by by a council of five called the Fifmoot.
Four of the five members are the leaders from each of the town's free farflings or class divisons:
- The Keplor or Keep-Master: the miltary commander, head of the martial-farfling
- The Dominor or High-Master: the religious leader, head of the holy-farfling
- The Kivinor or Harth-Master: the civic leader, head of the noble-farfling
- The Treglor or Guild-Master: the merchant, trade and craft guilds' leader, head of the mundane-farfling.
The final member is the Wardinor, an athelkin or athelwin, related to or friend of the OverWarden, ruler of Stonemark, and thus part of the Wardinate or royal-farfling.
